Essential Shortcut Keys Windows OS and Office Software


Windows Shortcuts:

  • Ctrl + C: Copy
  • Ctrl + X: Cut
  • Ctrl + V: Paste
  • Ctrl + Z: Undo
  • Ctrl + Y: Redo
  • Alt + Tab: Switch between open apps
  • Windows + D: Show desktop
  • Windows + E: Open File Explorer
  • Windows + L: Lock the computer
  • Windows + Arrow (Left/Right): Snap window to the left/right half of the screen
  • Ctrl + Shift + Esc: Open Task Manager

Microsoft Word Shortcuts:

  • Ctrl + N: New document
  • Ctrl + O: Open document
  • Ctrl + S: Save document
  • Ctrl + P: Print document
  • Ctrl + B: Bold text
  • Ctrl + I: Italicize text
  • Ctrl + U: Underline text

  • Ctrl + Shift + L: Toggle filters
